An AI assistant is only as good as the content it reads. The good news: the same things that make content AI-ready also make it better for humans and search engines.
Write in clear sections
Use real headings (H2, H3). They become breadcrumbs that help retrieval understand *where* an answer lives. A wall of text with no structure is hard to chunk well.
Answer questions directly
Phrase content the way people ask. Instead of "Our logistics framework," write "How long does shipping take?" — then answer it. FAQ-style writing matches real queries almost perfectly.
Keep paragraphs tight
Very long paragraphs split awkwardly into chunks, scattering one idea across two of them. Aim for focused paragraphs and use lists where it helps.
Put the important stuff in text
Information trapped in images, PDFs-as-pictures, or video isn't readable. If it matters, make sure it exists as text somewhere.
A quick checklist
- Every page has a descriptive title and headings
- Common questions are answered explicitly
- Prices, policies, and hours are written out, not implied
- No critical info lives only in an image
